Pastured Poultry & Eggs

Breadcrumb Navigation

Did you know that chickens can get up to 25% of their nutrition from grass, and turkeys, even more?  Our chickens and turkeys go out onto pasture at four weeks of age, and have the benefit of fresh air, sunshine, and all the grass and bugs they can eat!

 PASTURED BROILER CHICKENS

Our broiler chickens are housed in mobile pens that are moved regularly.  They provide fertilizer for our pastures and dine on non-GMO, soy-free, chemical-free grain.  They are raised for 9-10 weeks and processed here on the farm. Our broilers are available whole, cut up, and packaged by the cut. See what we have available in the Online Store.

We are offering our broiler chickens for sale at markets, on the farm, and by pre-order.  If you can put in your whole order for the year all at once and pay a small per-chicken deposit, we will give you a discount!  You can arrange to pick them up all at once if you have the freezer space, or we can space them out over the growing season. Contact us for more info about bulk orders.

EGGS FROM PASTURED HENS

Our hens live in a large mobile house that is moved across the pasture following the cows and horses.  They scratch through the manure and eat the bug larvae, supplementing their diet and keeping our pest population in check. Their foraging is supplemented with non-GMO, soy-free, chemical-free grain.  We have eggs in white, brown, and even some colored from our Ameraucana (Easter-Egger) chickens.

HOLIDAY TURKEYS

Every year we raise a limited number of turkeys for our customers’ holiday tables.  For 2022, we will be raising Standard White Turkeys – a hybrid developed in the 1950’s with a good balance of white and dark meat.  We always sell out early, so be sure to reserve your turkey as soon as possible! Reservations will open in our Online Store in mid-May.

Our turkeys eat the same non-GMO, soy-free, chemical-free grain that has been formulated specifically for turkeys, and are housed in electric net fencing enclosures out on pasture from May through October, when they are processed here on the farm.  They are then shrink-wrapped and frozen for you to come and pick up at your convenience.
